My name is Philip Moore. I’m a professional clubmaker, golf columnist, and author of the book The Mad Science of Golf.

I’m a Certified Member of the Professional Clubmakers’ Society, an Advanced Member of the Golf Clubmakers Association, and a Certified Advanced Rifle Shaft Technician. I’ve also successfully completed club fitting and training programs with Titleist, Mizuno golf, Adams golf, Golfworks, Golfsmith, and Swing Science.


I’ve studied golf and have been an avid player for over forty years. For the past ten years, I’ve operated my own golf club fitting, building, and repair business at Jurupa Hills Country Club in Riverside, California. I also have a fully equipped shop at my home at Date Palm Country Club, in Cathedral City, and I also fit golf clubs on the Date Palm driving range.


I’m a one-man operation. I do every repair and I build every golf club myself. I also purchase most of my components directly from the manufacturer. Through keeping my overhead very low, I’m able to provide my products and services at very affordable (friendly) prices.


I’ve fit and built golf clubs for seniors, ladies, beginners, club champions, college team players, and PGA club professionals.
 

I enjoy working with average golfers the most because they’re generally the most open minded about their equipment and their approach to golf. As their personal clubmaker, I can help them save money, lower their average score, and better enjoy the game.
